Mattress Unboxing Instructions

All CHITA mattresses ship straight to your door rolled in a box. This allows for easy delivery and maneuvering in small spaces or carrying upstairs.*

Follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Unbox

Lay the box down. Carefully open one end of the box and pull out the mattress. Be sure not to cut the mattress inside.

Step 2: Remove Outer Plastic Layer

Look for the CHITA envelope. Inside you will find our mattress care guide and a safe opening tool. Use the safe opening tool to cut the outer layer of plastic.

Step 3: Unroll

Place the mattress on a flat surface and carefully unroll it.

Step 4: Remove Inner Plastic Layer

Use the safe opening tool to cut the inner layer of plastic.

Step 5: Expand & Enjoy

Allow up to 72 hours for your mattress to fully open, breathe and expand before use. Enjoy purrfect sleep with your CHITA mattress!

Note: It may take a few nights to get used to your new CHITA mattress with contour foam.

*We recommend using two people to carry the mattress.
