Initial review of the Garrison recliner

"I wanted to write an initial review of the XL Garrison Genuine Leather lay-flat recliner (in Brown) for the folks looking for a recliner that will fit through a 24-inch wide (Travel Trailer/RV) doorway. First off, Chita was one of the few companies that specifically state on their website what size doorway their furniture will fit through, so thank you for that. I placed my order on 14 January 2026, it arrived today, 16 January 2026. I can confirm that my Garrison was delivered in three separate boxes. One box had the seat, one box had the recliner back and recliner back side bolsters, while the third box had the two arm sections that attach to the sides of the seat. I unpacked the recliner on the bed of my truck and carried the pieces inside my camper for assembly. All pieces of the recliner easily fit through my 24-inch wide doorway. Assembly took approximately 20-minutes by myself and was straight-forward and simple. All the pieces slide into one another, no tools were required. My initial thoughts on the recliner itself are as follows. The cushions on the seat, back rest and arms are comfortably firm. The flat-topped arm cushions are of a comfortable height (approximately 5-inches above the seat) and wide, making operating my computer mouse very comfortable. I'm 6' 6" tall and 300-pounds and have a fairly long lower torso. Sitting comfortably in the recliner, with the foot rest fully extended, my feet, from the ankles down hang off the end of the foot rest, but not in an uncomfortable way. The footrest and seat back all recline as they should. I feel this recliner is comfortable, but you will not sink into it if that is what you're looking for in a recliner. This recliner is made in Thailand, if that matters to you. My initial reaction to the overall process, from researching, to delivery, to assembly and comfort-level is five stars so far. Time will tell how the recliner and motors hold up. I hope this review make someone's recliner purchase easier."
